Health & Food Sciences Precinct
The $100 million Health and Food Sciences Precinct brings together 190 of Queensland’s top scientists from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), and the University of Queensland, in state-of-the-art facilities.
Queenslanders and industry will now benefit from having scientists in one central location – fostering ideas, encouraging collaboration between Queensland’s scientific minds, and building new research partnerships. The objective is to focus on ways to help people live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives through advances in healthcare, medicine, food, and nutrition. It is one of the first of its kind in Australia and covers both human and animal health, as well as food sciences, in one physical location.
