St John's Anglican College
St John’s Anglican College is a leading kindergarten to Year 12 independent, co-educational school where international students are welcome. The college is situated in the leafy suburb of Forest Lake and conveniently close to Brisbane city, with the Gold Coast about 45 minutes away. Recently St John’s has added a new library to the primary campus, a new college auditorium, new information and resource centre and a new fully equipped gymnasium to the secondary campus. Students enjoy beautifully landscaped grounds and sporting facilities.
St John’s offers primary and high school English preparation courses which lead to study in mainstream classes. International students have achieved high levels of success, with many gaining entry into prestigious universities across Australia. St John’s international students are well prepared for higher education both in Australia and internationally.
St John’s International College, located on the secondary campus, also offers short and long-term study tours and study abroad programs. The programs offer intensive, integrated courses in English language and cultural studies. Special educational and recreational activities including sport and performing arts and excursions are also organised to offer students a wide range of Australian experiences.
Some of the services provided to international students are free airport pick-up, free ESL support and dedicated pastoral care and career counselling staff.
Students are accommodated in quality homestay arrangements managed by St John’s. Host families are carefully selected and are approved under the Government Blue Card scheme. Many host families live in Forest Lake and have students attending St John’s.
